Strength Class 

with Laura

This class will focus on strength poses with  emphasis on proper alignment in weight bearing positions.  Breath work will be brought in while holding strength poses  to practice how to control the breath while the body is  under strain. 

How often: weekly 

Level: All levels 

Best for: Great class for those looking for alignment work  in functional fitness movements and also to work on breath  patterns that mimic those done during weightlifting. 

Equipment needed: At times, light weights may be  brought into a practice (weights will be provided), however  they will not be required and the practice will be equally  beneficial to those who choose to not use any weights.  

Limitations: Modifications will always be offered.  

Functional Yoga

We often think of Yoga as means to getting  our bodies into unusual bendy positions and holding planks  until the cows come home. Perhaps a more useful way to  look a practice, is its ability to help us move throughout our  daily lives in a safe and comfortable way. In our Functional  Yoga class we will practice things like getting up and down  off the floor safely and working the muscles needed to do  just that. We will also place a strong focus on balance and  coordination in hopes these practices will have a profound  effect in day to day life off of the mat.  

How often: Weekly 

Level: All Levels 

Best for: Although this class is welcome to all ages and  all levels of experience, it is specifically designed for those  55+ 

Equipment needed: You may bring your own mat or  props but we will also provide equipment as needed if you  would prefer to leave yours at home!   

Gentle Yoga

This class will focus on gentle movement and  connecting your breath with that movement. Although this is  more of a gentle practice, some deep stretching or strength work  may be included. Do not fret, however, if you come to this class  with a goal of just relaxing, modifications will be offered to all  strength poses.

Best for: Anyone looking for a relaxing way to unwind 

Equipment needed: Anyone looking for a relaxing way to unwind.  

Baby and Me

In this class parents and babies are welcomed in a comfortable and supportive community where  the focus is about strengthening the bond of parents and babies while still focusing on the  body’s strength and tone. Allowing for exploration and connection through movement  and fun.  

How often: Weekly 

Level: All Levels 

Best for: Parents and little ones who are looking for a fun bonding activity!   

Flexy Yoga

Feeling tight or maybe constantly on the go? Join us for our Flexy Yoga where this active stretching class focuses on various muscle groups to help alleviate stiff and tight muscles while also finding a moment of stillness and relaxation from your busy week.

Best for: Anyone feeling stiff 

Equipment needed: Anyone looking for a relaxing way to unwind.  

Flow Yoga

Appreciation Class

Our way to say THANK YOU. This class is free to our service members and first responders as a  way for us to thank you for all the hard work they do in our community. Enjoy an  evening of quiet and calm, where you will find a mix of strengthening and stretching,  with mindfulness and stillness, as well as gratitude and community. 

How often: Weekly

This practice provides poses and postures that all would enjoy, from the beginner yogi to the  experienced yogi. With a focus on alignment and the freedom to play within familiar and  new poses. Bringing together breathwork and poses and the encouragement to explore  the potential to heal and transform.

Common Questions

Do I need to be flexible/strong to start doing Yoga?
No! Despite what Instagram would have you believe, flexibility and strength are not prerequisites for doing Yoga. Increased strength and flexibility are possible outcomes, however, of a well disciplined Yoga practice!
Are dependents of Military included in your military discount?
Yes. The sacrifices made are not by the active duty member alone, the family carries those burdens as well so our discount is extended to dependents as well.
What can I expect from one of your classes?

Everyone should leave feeling accomplished, empowered, and ready  to come back.

What Should I bring/Wear?
Clothing you can move comfortably in is strongly suggested, however what that means to a particular person may vary greatly 🙂 If you have a mat or any props you plan to use you are welcome to bring them. However, we do have mats and wide array of props are provided during class times if you do not bring your own.
Which classes should I try?
We recommend reading through our class list and seeing what speaks to you the most right off the bat. However, we also suggest giving several classes a try. You may surprise yourself by loving something you never thought you would! You never know until
you try!
What Covid precautions are you taking?

We are following state guidelines and amending our precautions as needed. Currently we are:

  • Limiting sizes of classes
  • 6ft distancing
  • Encouraging students to bring  own their equipment
  • Masks. Masks provided if you do not have one
  • Sanitizing in between classes
  • Hand sanitizer provided at entrance
